what happened last week

i don't know how i've forgotten to blog about the events right after they have happened. perhaps i am too busy with facebook that i forgot about it...

FRIDAY was the finale of my favorite reality show, Survivor Philippines Palau. this is the second season of the hit franchise.  and as promised, season 2 was filled with new challenges that were originally Pinoy, and shocking twists. even at the finale, fans were still guessing who would be the next Pinoy Sole Survivor. the final 3 vying for the title and the pot money- P3M- were jef gaitan "the girl next door", justine ferrer "the beauty queen" and amanda coolley van cool "the probinsyanang tisay". the ladies proved that they are deserving to be the sole survivor, but it was the jury who will choose which of them will carry on JC Tiuseco's place as the Pinoy Sole Survivor. amanda won 4-3-0, with justine having 3 votes and jef 0. after 64 episodes, survivor season 2 bade goodbye. and people holler, season 3!!!! i wish it will still be paolo bediones and no other!! no one will ever take his place as SP host!!! ~so love Paolo Bediones and SP! :)

SUNDAY was one historic event in boxing. our very own Pambansang Kamao Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao, also the #1 Pound-for-Pound boxer in the world has won his seventh title against the Puerto Rican Miguel Cotto. it's a first in boxing history to win 7-weight world championship. the fight, dubbed as Firepower caused the world to stop and the citizens of it to be hooked on the historical match. i'm not much of a sport enthusiast, but when it's Manny Pacquiao, i will never fail to watch his fight- only through a delayed telecast. it wasn't easy for Pacquiao to knock down his opponent.  it took them 12 rounds of uber jabs and power punches- a total of 500+ of those- before the referee finally declared a TKO in favor of Manny Pacquiao.  he even admitted that Cotto was not one easy opponent. asked what edge he has over his challengers, he confidently answered "I have God, pare."  true enough, God has been with him in every boxing match and blessed Him with victories and tons of success.

and last Sunday, i attended church. uh, yeah, i talked about that in my previous post :)

i'm so happy, it's 37 days before Christmas!!! yay!!!
